Toilet Paper Vs Tissues and Paper Towels

Well, we’re all in the middle of a sudden “change of times.” I confess I paid $15 dollars for one of two remaining packages of toilet paper at the local Kings market. The limit was two packages, but I couldn’t remove the last package and leave someone’s backside bereft.

I then noticed that the tissue aisle was still fairly well-stocked and the paper towels were abundant. In a pinch, couldn’t we resort to tissues or paper towels for personal hygiene? I guess not!

The fact is when we humans get anxious our thinking becomes narrow and rigid. Having no toilet paper drove me and others to grab and pay the exorbitant price.

I tend to humanize objects, the reason I still have my childhood Teddy Bear (BerBer). It is a relic of what it once was, but I dare not send it to its final reward…but I digress.

If tissues and paper towels could think, they’d be wondering what the heck is wrong with these people!? Although if they could think they’d probably be delighted that we overlooked them from the task at hand!

I’m wondering if quarantine has taken my mind to dark places?

“Look homeward angel…” This too shall pass.

With love, Rosanne Bostonian
